Valentines Day 2017

We had a fabulous Valentine's day making our sugar cookies and having our traditional candlelight lasagna dinner and cheesecake. This is really the best picture I got. 

I know it looks more like a Halloween picture, but Jaxon was sincerely trying to smile and Violet was just grumpy. It happens.

We were also invited to Mamie's house the week before to make chocolate covered strawberries. Now THAT was delicious, and so, so bad for my postpartum belly!

To finish, Travis and I usually just get each other chocolate (because, really, what's better than chocolate) but after I gave him this...

He pulls out this.

(Let me preface this by saying I'm NOT one of those women who would be offended by this gift and I would absolutely love a blender as an anniversary gift). Not fair, husband.  Not fair. He always outdoes me. But oh how I love my new larger kitchen aid! :)

At least I have a whole 'nother year to think about his next valentine's gift.

"Bebé Didu"

We love this little one. She is such a good baby. I seem to say that with all my kids, but she really is a sweetheart and tries to make my life as easy as possible.

Silly me for thinking Violet would have a hard time adjusting to a new baby.

She absolutely adores Ginger, or as she calls her, 'bebé didu'. She's always talking, reading, and giving toys to her. She'll start to cry if someone is being too loud and risk waking up Ginger (although it's Violet who wakes Ginger up more than anyone because she can't stay away from her!).

Ginger looks like a spitin image of Jaxon when he was a baby, but with a little more hair.
